TUPPER LAKE (AP) -- State police and forest rangers are asking hunters to keep an eye out for signs of a teenager who's been missing in the Adirondacks since March.

Department of Environmental Conservation spokesman Dave Winchell tells the Adirondack Daily Enterprise that hunters are keen observers and often come across things when they're bushwhacking in the forest.

18-year-old Colin Gillis of Tupper Lake was last seen in the early morning hours of March 11 walking on State Route 3 between Tupper Lake and Piercefield after a party. He was wearing a black-and-white striped shirt, blue jeans and red sneakers.

Searchers spent seven days in the spring looking for Gillis, covering more than 2,000 acres of land.

Gillis had just returned home on spring break from Brockport State.
