SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say they are investigating three stabbings that happened very early Wednesday morning. Police do not believe the stabbings are related.
Police say the first stabbing happened around 1:15am at 745 Otisco Street. Tiffany Hockeburn was stabbed in the left hip and left knee. She was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30's. Hockeburn was uncooperative with investigating officers and would not provide any further information.
Police say the second stabbing happened at 2:15am in the 600 block of South Geddes Street. Casime Kelly, 37, was stabbed in the back. She was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Kelly was uncooperative with detectives and refused to provide any suspect information.
The third incident was a stabbing and attempted robbery that happened at 3:25am at Park Street and John Street. Police say the victim, Anthony Tucker, was approached by a suspect who demanded money. When Tucker refused, the suspect allegedly stabbed Tucker in the head.
Police say Tucker suffered a large cut on his scalp and was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s about 5'8" tall with a thin build and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants and running down Lodi Street towards Butternut Street.
All three stabbings are under investigation.
Police say that it’s does not appear that the incidents are related in anyway.
