Syracuse police looking for suspect in West Onondaga Street shooting

The Syracuse Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened on Sunday at around 11:15 AM in the 600 block of West Onondaga Street.

 According to a media release from the Syracuse Police, the victim, a 54-year-old man got into an argument with the 74-year-old male suspect outside of 630 West Onondaga Street. 

 The suspect allegedly got his shotgun and fired three rounds of birdshot at the victim.  The victim was hit but the birdshot did not penetrate his leather jacket.

 The suspect left the scene in a red Chevrolet Trail Blazer.  He has not been located but the weapon used in the shooting has been found by officers on the scene.

 Anyone with information on this shooting  is asked to call Syracuse Police at 315-442-5222.
