SYRACUSE --

There was a water main break in downtown Syracuse around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The Syracuse Water Department says the break was in the 300 block of Franklin Street in Armory Square.

The water main break is about a block away from where a previous break caused Armory Square to flood in February. Officials said the break was caused by a combination of old pipes and cold weather. (Watch our raw video of the flood.)

Department of Public Works crews are working to repair the break.
