SYRACUSE -- There will be light snow and gusty winds in the Central New York area on Tuesday.

The big flakes snow will be heaviest early to mid-morning and will create a melting trace or coating to an inch for most of the area.  However, areas north of the Route 31 corridor could see 1 to 3 inches of snow.

Today’s high is expected to be 35 with a low of 26.  Wind chills will be at 20 to 25 degrees.

There is a snow system trying to organize that could hit Central New York this weekend but it is unclear whether this will be an actual storm or just showers and flurries.
