Baldwinsville is looking for a few brave men and women who'd like to be part of its Big Chill Polar Bear Plunge--in other words, take a dip in the Seneca River on January 24th.  It's part of a weekend of family-oriented activities to benefit Ronald McDonald House, Cystic Fibrosis, and the Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce.  Tony Saraceni, the event chair, says it will start on Friday evening with a semi-formal dance at Mohegan Manor (if you're not going to the Inaugural Ball this is an alternative!).  Saturday starts with Breakfast 9am-noon at Baldwinsville First Presbyterian, then Mercer Park hosts children's and family activities, with a big bonfire the centerpiece.  A chili cook-off by area restaurants will offer samples, and the dip in the Seneca River is at 3:15, with the finale, fireworks at 5:30.   For more information, or to sign up for the plunge, the Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce is at www.baldwinsville.org or 638-0550.
