LAFAYETTE -- The Onondaga County Health Department is looking into reports of rats at Grimshaw Elementary School in LaFayette.  Because of this, the district will call in exterminators during the upcoming spring break.

The school tells Action News it has never had a problem like this before and a business official says the original rat problem was in the cafeteria, and that it seems the rodents got into some food left in some of the classrooms.

Teachers at Grimshaw Elementary have been told to make sure any food kept in classrooms is sealed tight.
