Tickets go on sale this Saturday for the 14th annual Krockathon at the New York State Fairgrounds. On air personalities from K-Rock 101.9 - 106.5 are thrilled with this year's line up of musical acts.

Midday DJ Nixon spells out some of the performers - "At the top is Three Doors Down, Papa Roach and Chevelle. Personally for me, Tom Morello, who was with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, will be in town. I'm excited he's a legend and on stage in Syracuse."

Another star of the K-Rock on air team is Rainman. He says the infield of the State Fairgrounds provides an easily accessible venue for the all day festival. People are expected to come from across New York, the northeast and Canada. The first acts take the stage around noon and the show finishes sometime after 10:00 at night. Bands like 10 Years, Sick Puppies and Framing Hanley are part of a strong hard rock line up that is keeping rock's place in the popular musical world. Rainman says, " I think people are getting sick of regurgitated pop like Britney Spears. There's no substance to music like that. With rock there is a style where people are passionately emotionally involved."

The crowd is expected to be in the range of 10,000 to 15,000 music fans. Vendors will be on site to sell food, tattoos and piercings. Tickets go on sale Saturday. A limited number of tickets will sell for $25 at area NAPA auto parts stores. Full price tickets are available at Bodified in Oswego and Comix Zone in North Syracuse.
