President Barack Obama's plan to provide incentives for homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient is drawing praise from local contractors. Ellis Guiles of Tag Heating and Cooling says the president's plan will help save energy and jobs.  "From a business perspective it could be huge for the community going to help companies like us put people to work hiring auditors so we can figure out what is going on with your house, insulators, service techs to install furnaces and air conditioners..it would be great for all of us if done properly," Guiles says.

The President's plan which some are calling the "cash for caulkers" program would give homeowners who qualify up to $12,000 in rebates to weatherize their homes.

Guiles says the money could be used for insulation, furnaces and other improvements to help homeowners make their home's more energy efficient. "It's going to give homeowners incentives to make improvements air seal, upgrade and will provide substantial incentives to do that," Guiles says.
