SYRACUSE -- A well-known rock star and former “American Idol” contestant will be coming to Syracuse in March.

According to an Oncenter news release, "Daughtry", the band fronted by lead singer Chris Daughtry, will perform a show at the War Memorial on March 23 at 7:30 p.m.

“We are so happy to be part of their tour,” said Michael Spaulding, Director of Ticketing and Event Bookings, who said in the release that these concerts are so much fun because they get the “whole crowd rocking”.

This will be Chris Daughtry’s second performance at the War Memorial, his first was in 2006 as part of the “American Idol” Summer Tour. This time he will be bringing his band with him, which is currently preparing for a European tour.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. Ticket prices are $39.50 and $29.50. Tickets can be purchased at the Oncenter Box Office, by calling 315-435-2121, or at www.Ticketmaster.com.
