Fort Ontario gets surprise help

OSWEGO --
Oswego's Fort Ontario is getting a big pledge of help in efforts to keep the historic site open.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), in the Syracuse area on Tuesday, promised help, saying "I want to see Fort Ontario stay open and I'd look for any federal avenues to see that that happens."
Schumer said he'd watch to see if the State changes its closure proposal before acting.
