ALBANY (AP) -- New York's Army National Guard is being featured in a new exhibit at the state museum in Albany.
The exhibit, which opens on May 28, includes almost 7,000 square feet of gallery space. It depicts the service of New Yorkers from the Spanish American War to Iraq and Afghanistan, including world wars, natural disasters, and the 9/11 attacks.
There will be wall panels, dioramas, photos, uniforms, equipment and weapons displays. The exhibit will also have personal stories of soldiers past and present, including women serving in the modern Guard.
The exhibit is one of the largest ever produced at the museum, and it will be there through March 2011. Special events such as documentary screenings and book signings are being scheduled.
