SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are releasing the name of the victim in a deadly shooting.

The shooting happened in front of 2425 East Genesee Street early Friday morning. 33-year-old Shaheen Bean of 711 Hazelwood Avenue in Syracuse was taken to University Hospital where he died.

Syracuse police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened just before 5 o’clock this morning.

Police say it happened in front of 2425 E. Genesee Street at about 4:45 a.m.

The male victim was transported to University Hospital where he died.

The investigation is ongoing.
