Rolling roadblocks on Thruway Tuesday night

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the Cold Spring Road Bridge (Route 370) Reconstruction Project, located at milepost 286.36 on I-90 near Interchange 38 (Liverpool, Route 57) will necessitate several nighttime rolling road blocks, tonight, Tuesday, July 20.

LIVERPOOL (AP) -- Beginning at 7:00 p.m., several rolling road blocks will take place in both the eastbound and westbound directions, while steel is erected. Each rolling road block could cause moderate to severe delays of 20 minutes or more. Motorists may want to seek alternate routes. Work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m., Wednesday, July 21.

Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place to alert motorists of the work and any delays associated with it. In addition, Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 1620 AM will also broadcast information.

As with any change in traffic pattern, motorists are encouraged to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through the area.
