The Jets have finally landed.

After taking part in a parade down Main Street this afternoon, Jets players checked in to their new home for the next three weeks at SUNY Cortland.

The players moved in to Glass Tower Hall today before heading for team meetings.

Many of the players are happy to be back in Cortland. They say training in a small town, away from the distractions of New York, get them in the right mindset for the season.

Veteran defensive tackle Kris Jenkins says,

"You get away from the drama, you just get away from everything. You just get to focus on football."

Last year the Jets had their most successful season since 1998 in their first year in Cortland. Second-year running back Shonn Greene said training in Cortland paid dividends in the regular season.

"It brought us together because there's not too much out here," Greene says. "It's just us as a family, we learn from each other and we have each other's back."

The Jets will get an early start tomorrow with their first practice starting at 8:20 A.M. The first practice open to the public is Monday afternoon at 4:20 P.M.
