MEXICO, OSWEGO CO. -- A mother of three was arrested Saturday after police say she was driving drunk with her kids in the car.

According to State Police in Fulton, 39-year-old Renea Tilkins of Main Street in the Town of Mexico was arrested on a charge of felony driving while intoxicated (“Leandra’s Law”) and endangering the welfare of a child after Troopers say she was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol while transporting three young children. Police say she was also ticketed for speeding and failure to keep right during a traffic stop on State Route 3 in Mexico.

Tilkins is scheduled to return to the Town of Mexico Court at an unspecified date for further proceedings.
