LIVERPOOL -- A Central New York holiday tradition is gearing up for another run, and the public has a chance to get a discount to the event.

Onondaga County Parks announced Thursday that “Lights on the Lake” will get underway with the annual pedestrian-only stroll on Monday, November 22 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and the dog walk on Tuesday, November 23. The regular drive-through portion of the Lights show will start on Wednesday, November 24 and run through Sunday, January 9. The drive-through hours are 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. nightly.

The price of admission for “Lights on the Lake” is $8 per car Monday-Thursday and $12 Friday-Sunday when purchased at the gate, though there are many ways to get a discount. Advance sale tickets will be available from November 1-23 and admit one car per night to the light show. Included is “Christmas Around the World”, at the nearby Sainte Marie among the Iroquois, which will be open 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings from November 26 - December 18.

Alternately, visitors can show their Wegmans Shoppers Club card and pay $6 on Monday or Tuesday evenings, or visitors with a Driver's Village or Burdick Automotive license plate frame will receive $6 admission on Wednesday evenings.

“Lights on the Lake” is located inside Onondaga Lake Park in Liverpool. Visitors can enter the park via the Onondaga Lake Parkway (Route 370) entrance just outside the village. For more information, call Onondaga Lake Park at 315-453-6712 or visit www.LightsontheLake.com.
