SYRACUSE -- If you're heading to the S.U. basketball game tomorrow and love animals, you're in luck.

The Syracuse University Sport Management (SPM) Club will hold its sixth annual Charity Sports Auction Saturday at the Carrier Dome.

All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Central New York SPCA. Silent bidding on hundreds of items, including sports memorabilia, electronics and tickets to major sporting events will take place in the dome during the S.U. Men's basketball game against North Carolina State.

Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the auction through Gates A, B, C and E. All other gates will open as usual at 3:30 p.m. prior to the game.

More than 350 items will be auctioned off, including tickets to see the NY Mets, New York Jets and New York Giants. You can also bid on a chance to sit in the booth with the "Voice of the Dome" public address announcer. There's also an LCD TV up for auction along with a 2 night weekend stay in the Statue of Liberty view room at the Ritz-Carlton.

The SPM Club is a student-run organization in the College of Human Ecology's David B. Falk Center for Sport Management. Since it's founding, it's raised nearly $100,000 for local charities like the Syracuse Boys and Girls Clubs, the American Diabetes Association of Central New York, Golisano Children's Hospital, and the CNY Ronald McDonald House.
