LIVERPOOL -- A longstanding Central New York institution is expecting to celebrate a milestone tonight.

Lights on the Lake, which is in its 21st year of operation, expects to see its 3 millionth visitor pass through the gates at Onondaga Lake Park sometime this evening. To celebrate, officials will be giving away a 40 inch flatscreen television to the lucky visitor.

Onondaga County Parks officials say that based on their usual weekday attendance, they believe the 3 millionth visitor will attend the festivities tonight.

Lights on the Lake is open nightly from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, January 9. Admission is $8 per vehicle Monday-Thursday and $12 per vehicle Friday-Sunday. The entrance to the show is on the Onondaga Lake Parkway (Route 370) in Liverpool, between the Liverpool Animal Hospital and the Sainte Marie among the Iroquois museum.
