The plan to bring an electric car manufacturing pant to Onondaga County has hits the skids in the form of a lawsuit that could kill the deal.

Bannon Automotive is suing the Reva car company of India for breach of contract, claiming it broke a contract by failing to send critical information including prototypes necessary for production.

In 2009, it was announced by local leaders and the Governor that the Reva, the first all electric car to be made in America would be produced at the former Ball Plastics facility in Lysander. New York State stepped up with major money, pledging $10 Million dollars in tax breaks and special incentives to make it happen.

The head of Centerstate CEO, the leading economic development group in Central New York says he's hopeful the lawsuit can be settled. Rob Simpson tells CNYcentral, "We're eager to see where this goes, and we are still hoping the Reva could one day be produced here."
