New York State Police has issued a no unnecessary travel advisory for motorists in Central New York.

Trooper Jack Keller also says the accident that closed southbound I-81 between the I-90 and 7th North St. exits has been cleared.

Trooper Keller says a deputy was involved in the accident but did not suffer serious injuries.

Numerous counties have issued travel advisories and many events and activities have been cancelled today.
