SYRACUSE -- National Grid crews are working on a power outage in the Syracuse University area.

We have received reports of blackouts at Bird Library and Schine Student Center. We spoke with a National Grid representative, who says about 415 customers are without power in the Crouse Avenue, University Avenue, and Madison Street area. The company expects power to be restored just after 8pm.

So far, a National Grid representative is not sure what caused the outage.
