This week can be slow for Syracuse University area businesses because many students are out of town on spring break. However, when the NCAA tournament starts and SU starts playing, the Hill gets much more exciting.
At Chuck's bar and restaurant, workers have been getting ready for Friday night's game all day. They've picked drink specials, have started preparing the food, and are making sure all the bar's large TVs are ready to go.
At Manny's on Marshall St., the owner says people have been coming in to pick up their Orange gear and prepare for the game. He says the most popular items are the jerseys with the numbers on them, so people can match their favorite players.
Manny's doesn't have NCAA shirts, yet. The owner says the store will start getting them in if SU makes the sweet 16. Then, they'll get them for each round after that.
