No sign of man who jumped off bridge over Chenango River

BINGHAMTON (AP) -- Authorities are resuming their search for a man who was seen jumping off a bridge in Binghamton.
Officials say Broome County emergency dispatchers got a report around 8:30 p.m. Monday that a man was seen jumping from the Court Street Bridge over the Chenango River, about a quarter-mile north of its convergence with the Susquehanna River.
Firefighters used two boats to search the rivers while other crews walked along the banks looking for him, but he wasn't found.
The search was halted after about 40 minutes because of dangerous conditions in the rivers.
Fire officials say Tuesday morning that they're discussing whether to resume the search.
