Deputies: Rome woman overdoses during traffic stop

ROME, ONEIDA CO. -- A traffic stop in Rome leads to a couple being arrested on drug charges.
The trouble started around 1:15 a.m. in the area of Lower Lawrence Street.
Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 40-year-old Jill Archer of Rome was seen driving with one headlight out. When they pulled her over, deputies say Archer became un-responsive from an apparent drug overdose. She was treated at the scene and transported to Rome Hospital.
Deputies say 38-year-old David Archer, a passenger in the car, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.
Jill Archer is charged with DWAI/drugs and DWAI/drugs having a combination of one or more drugs in her body, both misdemeanors, along with several other charges.
David Archer is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
