BRIDGEPORT -- A Cicero man is accused of stealing a woman's purse to get prescription pills.
It happened around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday on Eisenhower Boulevard in Bridgeport.
Police say a woman returned home from the pharmacy when she was approached by her friend's son, Josh Salvetti, of 6570 Route 31. Police say Salvetti walked up behind her and said, "I know you got the pills and I know they are in your purse." That's when, police say, Salvetti grabbed the woman's purse and pushed her to the ground. They say ran into a silver car parked nearby.
Police say Salvetti returned a few minutes later asking where the pills were, then threw the purse on the ground, and ran over the woman's foot. But it didn't end there. Police say Salvetti then tried to run over the woman and her son.
He was later located in the Clay area by Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies and state police.
