Utica woman accused of fraudulently obtaining public assistance

UTICA -- A Utica woman is accused of fraudulently obtaining public assistance.

24-year-old Toniese Howard, of West Street, was surrendered at Utica Police headquarters. She was then taken into police custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force on two outstanding bench warrants.

Howard is charged with obtaining public assistance by fraud and criminal mischief.
