Syracuse police identify shooting victims

SYRACUSE -- Morning update:

Syracuse police have identified the two people shot Tuesday night.

It happened around 9 p.m. along the 400 block of South Avenue.

Police say 20-year-old Jaquell Bailey of Syracuse was shot in the leg and foot. 20-year-old Zaquan Smith of Syracuse was shot in the leg. Both of their injuries are non-life threatening.

Two people are at Upstate Hospital right now after they were shot in Syracuse Tuesday night.

Investigators say there was a call for shots fired in the 200 block of South Avenue just after 9.

Just as police were canvassing the scene, two victims showed up at the hospital. They are both in their early 20s, and police expect them to survive the wounds.
