(AP) -- Families who lost relatives in the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407 plan to meet with House Speaker John Boehner after he attends a political fundraiser in suburban Buffalo.
The group called Families of Continental Flight 3407 says they'll meet Monday afternoon with the Ohio congressman after he makes a campaign appearance in Cheektowaga for fellow Republican Jane Corwin.
Group members say they'll tell Boehner about their opposition to the Shuster Amendment to the FAA Reauthorization Bill, which was approved in the House last month. The group says the amendment would weaken the FAA's flight safety regulations required under the bill.
All 49 people on board Flight 3407 were killed when the turboprop crashed into a house in suburban Clarence in February 2009. A man in the home also died.
