Exactly one month ago, Chris Adams got a kidney---after years on the transplant list and five years on dialysis.  Now, he says he's feeling good---and just a month after the operation, he was in our studios, talking about his next 'project':
Adams is putting together 'Team Adams' for next month's CNY Kidney Walk.
He knows the participants:  his family suffers from a hereditary kidney disease, and several family members will be walking to raise awareness and work on prevention of this fast-spreading disease, which also results from obesity, hypertension and other health issues that the Kidney Foundation says are becoming more common.  It's estimated 26 million people in this country have kidney disease and many more are either undiagnosed or at risk.
The Kidney Walk for this area is Sunday, June 12th at Alliance Bank Stadium, registration at 11 with the walk at Noon, and fundraisers will also get tickets for the Syracuse Chiefs game that day.  Grizz Chapman, from NBC's 30 Rock is the national spokesperson and will be in Syracuse for the walk.
