Congresswoman won't talk about Maffei comments

Syracuse area congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle (R-25th District)  made the rounds of Memorial Day parades on Monday--four of them--but when we caught up with her in Jordan, she had a 'no comment' on the Saturday news that the man she defeated to get her seat last fall, is seriously looking at a challenge next year.
Buerkle says she only wanted to talk about patriotism and Memorial Day today, though she did tell us that her office is already looking at next year's race.
Former Congressman Dan Maffei, who narrowly lost to Buerkle, says he has not given up politics, and that he'll decide this summer or early fall at the latest if he will run.  "I believe it would be a tough campaign," he told us, and that this time around he would not underestimate her.
