A number of revised school budgets were up for vote Tuesday, and voters are giving schools a second chance.

Voters in the Jordan-Elbridge School District approved a revised budget. The final vote was 556-502.

This is a stark difference from last May, when people overwhelmingly voted no. The new budget plan raises taxes by nearly 4% and restores a handful of jobs from the original plan.

In Weedsport, the second time was the charm.

After rejecting the first budget, voters overwhelmingly supported the new plan, 502-262.

The new budget in Weedsport dropped the tax rate from nearly 5% down to just under 2.5%.

In the North Syracuse School District, voters approve a bus proposition to buy 12 new buses.

There were also a handful of local village elections held Tuesday night. Click here to see those results.
