BREWERTON -- A Brewerton man is accused of threatening a police officer with a Samurai sword.

Cicero police responded to a domestic dispute at 5327 Guy Young Road around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

When Officer John Cottrell got to the home, investigators say 45-year-old Gregory Zollo approached him with a Samurai sword cocked over his head in a threatening manner and told the officer to get away from him.

After ordering Zollo to drop the weapon, police say he finally did and was taken into custody.

He's charged with menacing a police officer, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $25,000 cash/bond.
