WHITESTOWN, ONEIDA CO. -- A Whitestown man is facing charges stemming from a fight with a neighbor.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies were called to the Junction Trailer Park at 429 Oriskany Boulevard after someone called 911, saying his neighbor had fired a gun several times.

Deputies say the caller told dispatchers his neighbor, 45-year-old Michael Rossi, fired the gun after a fight over someone cutting Rossi's Time Warner cable line to his trailer.

While deputies, troopers and Whitestown police were responding, the dispute reportedly turned physical with a gun involved. Authorities later determined the gun was a .22 caliber "blank" revolver not capable of firing a projectile. It's used for training hunting dogs and fires percussion caps that simulate gun fire.

Rossi is charged with menacing and harassment. He was arraigned in the Town of Whitestown Court where an order of protection was issued. He was sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
