New Onondaga Community College athletic center making progress

ONONDAGA -- Construction crews are making progress on the new SRC Arena on the
Onondaga Community College
campus.
The $24 million project is a 60,000 square foot multi-use athletic facility and events center. When finished, the facility will have a state of the art six lane indoor track, three basketball courts that can also be converted for use for tennis or volleyball, and retractable seating than can accommodate 7,000 for events.
Part of the project includes a 5,000 square foot fitness center and swimming pool which will be operated by the YMCA of Greater Syracuse
Construction began athletic complex began in July of 2010 and and the SRC Arena is scheduled to open the first week of December.
