Street closures start today for ArtsWeek Events

SYRACUSE -- Starting today, some Syracuse streets will shut down for this weekend's ArtsWeek Events. Downtown Syracuse will play host to the Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival, the Blue Rain EcoFest, and the 41st Annual AmeriCU Arts & Crafts Festival.

For the Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival in Clinton Square, the following street closures are in effect:

-The 100 block of West Water Street will be closed from 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, through Sunday evening, July 31.

-Erie Boulevard West, between Clinton and Franklin Streets, will be closed at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 29, through early Monday morning, Aug. 1.

-Clinton Street, from West Genesee to Washington Streets, will be closed at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 29, through early Monday morning, Aug. 1.

For the Arts & Crafts Festival in Columbus Circle, the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of East Jefferson Street, the 300 and 400 blocks of Montgomery Street and the 100 and 200 blocks of East Onondaga Street will be closed from 5 a.m. Friday, July 29, until Sunday night, July 31.

The 100 block of East Genesee Street through Hanover Square will be closed through the weekend for the BlueRain EcoFest.

Drivers who normally travel through Clinton Square can travel on either Salina Street or Franklin Street. And those headed through the Columbus Circle neighborhood can use Salina Street or State Street to travel northbound and southbound.
