Chow-Chow Rescue of Central New York is rescuing some of the 131 dogs, dumped from a puppy mill in Georgia.

Dr. Patricia Romano, a Cicero dentist who's helping the group, came in to show us two dogs already adopted out, a two year old female named Lizzie, who is black, and a red chow, a two year old male named Bentley.  Both have the characteristic black tongues, and heavy fur.  Dr. Romano says the breed is loyal and dedicated to its owner, and make good companions that require little exercise or work, other than grooming.

The next group of rescue dogs, 20 puppies and three adults, will be arriving in Cicero on Friday, and some will be available for adoption at the Canine Carnival, at Wegmans Good Dog Park on Saturday.  To see more about the Georgia case, check the rescue website.
