Evans Mills mother accused of leaving kids home alone

EVANS MILLS, JEFFERSON CO. -- An Evans Mills mother is accused of leaving her two young children at home alone.

State police say 28-year-old Angelica Abel, of 26783 Libby Lane, left her 4 and 5-year-old children at home alone for more than two hours.

Abel is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Leray Court on August 29th.

Jefferson County Child Protective Services assisted with this case.
