Meth bust in New Hartford

NEW HARTFORD -- State Police have broken up a methamphetamine laboratory in the Oneida County Town of New Hartford.
Around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, police were investigating what they thought was a car larceny in a driveway at 302 Washington Drive. Instead, police say they found the proceeds of methamphetamine production in the car and the home.
30-year-old Jeffrey Martin, of 302 Washington Drive, and 26-year-old Maria Oles, of 12 Birchdale Crescent, are charged with criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, criminal possession of methamphetamine manufacturing material and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
They were arraigned in the Town of New Hartford court and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $20,000 and $10,000 bail respectively.
The investigation continues.
In Madison County recently, Oneida City Police have been dealing with a recent rash of methamphetamine busts as well.
