ITHACA (AP) -- Cornell University says it will submit its proposal for a New York City tech campus this fall.

The city campus would be created for graduate programs with an emphasis on high-tech study. Officials at the upstate Ivy League school say they will officially propose building the campus to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's office by the end of October.

Cornell's Student Assembly last week unanimously approved a resolution that will create a committee designed to unite students in support of the New York City campus.
