Fulton woman accused of stealing victim's ID, setting up accounts

OSWEGO -- A Fulton woman is accused of using a person's name and social security number to open up numerous accounts with Verizon, National Grid and Time Warner.

25-year-old Ashley Samson, of 689 CR 8 Apt. Upper, was charged with identity theft, a felony.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say Samson used the person's identity to set up the accounts in Oswego back in June.

She was arraigned in Oswego City Court and was released on her own recognizance. She's due back in court on October 18.
