BUTLER, WAYNE CO. -- A Butler man is accused of raping a woman.

35-year-old Shane King, of 4455 Butler Center Road, is charged with rape and sexual abuse.

Wayne County Sheriff's deputies say he raped a female acquaintance at a home in Butler on October 13.

King was arraigned in the Town of Galen Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.

He's due back in Butler Town Court at a later date.

A stay away order of protection was issued for the alleged victim.
