The first dress rehearsal is in the books for the SU Basketball team, and it has everybody buzzing about Fab Melo in a 79-49 win over Cal State Los Angeles. The Sophomore looked a lot thinner and athletic, finishing with a game-high 12 points and eight rebounds. Melo also contributed two blocks and a steal in 17 minutes of playing time.  SU's other center Baye Moussa Keita also had a team-high nine rebounds.

"I thought Fab and Baye (Moussa Keita) were real good," said SU Head Coach Jim Boeheim, "they were really active. They showed a lot of advancement from last year. I think it was a good game. I think it'll really help us and our preparation going forward."

Kris Joseph and Dion Waiters were the other Orange who scored in double digits, Joseph with 11 and Waiters with 10. Scoop Jardine mustered up nine points and seven assists, while freshman Michael Carter-Williams had six points, five assists and three turnovers.

The Orange has one more exhibition game next Tuesday night when they host the College of St. Rose.
