A three year old boy, found unconscious and not breathing at a home on South Avenue just before midnight, is being called suspicious and is being treated as a homicide. Syracuse Police have scheduled a 2:15pm Sunday news conference for an update to their investigation.

The 'unconscious child' report came in at 11:55, to 2546 South Avenue, not far from Community General Hospital.  Ambulance and Fire Department crews arrived along with Syracuse Police, and determined the child had been dead several hours.  Investigators are not giving the cause of death yet, but say the circumstances are suspicious.

On Sunday morning, detectives were talking to several people, and evidence is still being collected from the South Avenue scene.  Anyone with information can call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
