OSWEGATCHIE (AP) -- State Police say six students were taken to a hospital as a precaution after the school bus they were in rear-ended a car in thick fog.
The Town of Morristown school bus was in the town of Oswegatchie just after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday when the crash happened.
Police say the bus driver, 72-year-old Michael Guyette, of Morristown, didn't see a car being driven by William Fraser and hit the car in the back. There was dense fog in the area at the time.
Six students, a bus monitor and Fraser were taken to a hospital complaining of pain.
Guyette was ticketed for following too closely.
Oswegatchie is 95 miles northeast of Syracuse, in St. Lawrence County.
