Police say Moran took GPS units, cellphones from cars

NORTH SYRACUSE -- A man accused of going on a three-week stealing spree is facing multiple charges.

Shayne Moran, of Church Street in North Syracuse, is charged with possession of stolen property.

Moran is accused of taking GPS units, cellphones, a digital camera, and car audio equipment from cars, according to the North Syracuse Police. The alleged incidents happened in North Syracuse, Clay, and Cicero.

Moran was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon because he had brass knuckles and a box cutter on him at the time of the arrest.

Moran was also charged with possessing crack cocaine with the intent to sell, possessing a controlled substance (narcotic pain pills), and possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned in North Syracuse court and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $5,000 cash/$5,000 cash bond.

Moran was also arraigned regarding an alleged disturbance on November 3rd.

Police say Moran allegedly swung a wood 2X4 at a 10-year-old girl and her mother at his home. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
