WESTMORELAND -- A Westmoreland woman is accused of leading police on a high speed chase.

63-year-old Sharon Henderson is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and several traffic violations.

State police stopped Henderson on Martin Street in Rome around 5 p.m. Saturday. While pulled over, Henderson allegedly took off, speeding down Martin Street and turning onto State Route 365 westbound. Police say Henderson was eventually found in the Town of Verona after crashing her car. She was not injured in the crash.

She was sent to the Rome City Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned this morning.
