Teens arrested in alleged armed robbery in Ithaca

Victim says he was trying to buy a laptop
ITHACA -- Ithaca Police have made an arrest in an armed robbery.
The incident happened Sunday around 12:47 p.m. along the 300 block of West Green Street near the A-plus gas station, according to a police department press release.
The victim said he was robbed at gun point while he was in the back seat of a vehicle with the intent to buy a laptop.
The victim's wallet with several hundred dollars in cash was taken, according to police.
A 15 and 17-year-old are now in custody, each charged with one count of first degree robbery.
Both were arraigned. The 15-year-old was sent to a juvenile detention facility on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 bond. The 17-year-old was sent to the Tompkins County Jail on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 bond.
The investigation is on-going, and additional charges and arrests are expected.
