15 year old hit in arm, 25 year old in leg & abdomen
Syracuse Police are investigating a pair of overnight shootings, and in both cases the victims took themselves to the hospital for treatment.
The first shooting, just before 10pm Saturday night, at Oakwood and Garfield Avenues, just south of SU. 15 year old GaJuan Robinson says he heard several shots while walking, and then realized he was hit in the arm. A private vehicle brought him to Upstate, where detectives say he was uncooperative.
Investigators have even less to start with in their second case: just before 4am, 25 year old Carl Newton walked into Crouse Hospital with gunshot wounds to his lower leg and abdomen. He was taken right into surgery and detectives have not been able to speak with him. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Anyone who can help with information in either case is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
