Speaking on Syracuse ESPN Radio on Tuesday
Syracuse Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim talked briefly about the Bernie Fine scandal, during his regular Tuesday call-in on Syracuse's ESPN Radio. When asked how the developments are affecting him, Boeheim said 'I'm coaching basketball. That's what I'm doing." He says "the players have no distractions. They're not a part of anything. They don't know anything about it, it's stuff that happened a long time ago. They are focused on being a good basketball team, and being good players."
Boeheim says 'I preach to our players all the time....we expect them to be focused when they come to practice. They expect the coaches to be focused when they come to practice, and that's what, what we will do."
SU Athletic Director Daryl Gross also does a regular Tuesday call-in on Syracuse ESPN Radion, and this evening he said "You know we have total respect for the investigation going on, so I'm gonna decline comment."
